Job SummaryThe Patient Care Associate II provides high-quality patient care and performs various unit activities under the direction of the Registered Professional Nurse. Key responsibilities include direct patient care activities, such as taking vital signs and assisting patients with daily living tasks, as well as non-clinical activities like coordinating equipment and providing transportation. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary personnel.
Key Responsibilities- Provides direct patient care, including vital sign monitoring and assistance with daily living tasks
- Performs unit activities, such as coordinating equipment and providing transportation
- Interacts with patients, families, and interdisciplinary personnel to ensure safe and effective care
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient data
- Collaborates with the Registered Professional Nurse to ensure smooth unit operations
- CPR training required
- Phlebotomy training and experience preferred
- High school graduate or equivalent
- At least six months of experience as a Nursing Assistant or completion of the NWH Patient Care Assistant Training Program
