About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Restaurant Shift Manager to join our team at Whataburger. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless day-to-day operations in the restaurant, including scheduling, labor allocation, and overall store performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling and Labor Management: Develop and manage schedules for Team Members, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet customer demand.
  • Store Operations: Oversee all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, quality control, and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Team Development: Identify and develop talent within the team, providing training and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Customer Service: Foster a culture of excellent customer service, ensuring that every guest has a positive experience in our restaurant.
  • Financial Management: Monitor and manage sales, labor costs, and inventory levels to achieve business objectives.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Assist in developing and implementing local marketing initiatives to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with Team Members, General Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and address any concerns or issues.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or retail environment, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills; ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively; basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Work Environment: This position requires working in a fast-paced restaurant environment, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
