Job Description

At Vox Church, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch care and supervision to children from 6 months to preteen ages.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Arrive 15-20 minutes before an event or service to prepare the room and organize activities.
  2. Ensure proper check-in and check-out procedures for children and their parents.
  3. Nurture and care for children while parents are in service or attending an event.
  4. Supervise older children and engage them in activities that promote learning and development.
  5. Provide for children's basic needs, including diapering and comforting them when they are crying.
  6. Report to the onsite coordinator or director if the student-to-teacher ratio is at capacity.
  7. Redirect poor behaviors when necessary and report problem behaviors to the coordinator.
  8. Perform good hand-washing techniques for disease and infection control.
  9. Maintain classroom cleanliness and follow cleaning procedures provided in the VoxKids Child Care Guidelines.
  10. Communicate room needs to the onsite coordinator or VoxKids Director.
  11. Perform emergency procedures and protocol when necessary.

  1. Calm under pressure in changing and/or emergency situations.
  2. Physically capable of sustained activity.

  5. Must be 18 years old or older.
