About the Role
The Mechanical System Specialist will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections of basic mechanical, controls systems and other systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical and control systems to ensure they are functioning as designed.
• Verify results of system testing and assist with troubleshooting commissioned equipment as necessary.
• Assist in correcting deficiencies found during the commissioning process.
• Coordinate with other trades and vendors as needed to ensure a smooth commissioning process.
• Inspect and verify equipment/system installation in accordance with project documents using BIM 360 Field tool for startup and commissioning
• Use strong communication skills to effectively communicate with project stakeholders about system performance and any issues that arise.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations related to mechanical and control systems.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred or applicable experience.
• Minimum 1 year experience programming and setting up and testing HVAC control systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including plumbing, fire protection, lighting, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents including drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
• Familiarity with BIM 360 Field tool and its applications in commissioning processes.

Compensation and Benefits
$65,000 - $85,000 per year based on experience plus benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) plan with 50% company match, annual incentive program, paid time off, and training opportunities.
