As a key member of the Northwestern University development team, the Associate Director, Major Gifts will play a critical role in securing major gifts to support the university's mission. This position will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to cultivate and solicit major gifts from individual prospects, as well as managing a portfolio of prospects and donors.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to cultivate and solicit major gifts from individual prospects.
- Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors, including identifying, researching, and personally soliciting major gifts.
- Collaborate with other areas of development, including major gifts and reunions teams, to achieve fundraising goals.
- Co-organize events necessary to the cultivation of school prospects.
- Gather, record, and retrieve information about prospects and donors utilizing the university's donor and alumni tracking database.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- 4 years of development, marketing, sales, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
