Role Overview

The Fleet Maintenance Expert will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our fleet by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs on diesel equipment. This includes preventative maintenance, documentation of repairs, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with diesel equipment, including tractors and trailers">
  • Perform preventative maintenance according to company standards">
  • Complete accurate documentation of repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability">
  • Handle road service calls and perform road rescue/transport as needed">
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations">
  • Manage inventory and maintain proper recordkeeping">
  • Backup other maintenance shop personnel and assume increased responsibility and certifications as needed">

Requirements

">

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Expert with a valid Class-A CDL license, DOT certification, and at least 7 years of hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic. A combination of both experience and certifications is also acceptable. The ideal candidate will have diagnostic and troubleshooting competency, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

This role offers a competitive salary range of $22-$38 per hour, depending on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.
