Welcome to Unity Preparatory Charter School of Brooklyn, a small, open-enrollment, community-based charter school serving students in grades 6-12. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Middle School English Language Arts ELA Teacher to join our talented faculty. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our students and advancing their skills as burgeoning readers and writers. **Key Responsibilities:**

* Plan and facilitate standards-aligned, engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles
* Differentiate instruction to support students with varying readiness levels
* Model and promote healthy habits and character skills through Unity's strong school culture
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curricula that align with New York State learning standards
* Provide remediation and support to ensure all students demonstrate growth and mastery

**Ideal Candidate:**

* Master's degree with a teaching certification in New York
* 2+ years of formal teaching experience in New York
* Demonstrable skill in accelerating student growth and mastery
* Ability to plan rigorous, engaging, and culturally responsive curricula
* Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
