Mental Health Care Specialist

As a Mental Health Care Specialist with MediTelecare, you will have the opportunity to advance your career in a dynamic and supportive environment. Our team is dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services to clients in long-term care facilities, and we are looking for a skilled professional like you to join us.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments of patients, developing treatment plans that address their unique needs and circumstances.
- Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide education and training to facility staff on best practices in mental health care, including medication management and behavioral interventions.
- Participate in case reviews, consultations, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Respond to urgent calls from facilities, providing timely support and guidance to resolve complex issues.
- An advanced practice nursing degree from an accredited university.
- A valid NP license for the state in which you practice or in the process of obtaining it (may be asked to obtain multi-state licensure).
- A state-controlled substance license or in the process of obtaining it; DEA certificate or in the process of obtaining it.
- A collaborative agreement or attestation with a physician in accordance with the regulations of the state in which you practice.
- The ability to meet the credentialing requirements of MediTelecare and your assigned facilities.
- Able to become credentialed with Medicare and Medicaid, and other payers as necessary.
- Geriatric and/or psychiatric experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work on a computer using the Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and MediTelecare's Electronic Health Record system.
