The Senior Director of Day Services is seeking a highly organized and outgoing Program Coordinator for Community Connections to assist in scheduling, organizing, and creating daytime habilitation programming for existing groups. This role involves developing new groups held during weekend hours, providing direct support according to a schedule agreed upon with the supervisor, and connecting individuals with community resources.

Salary and Benefits

This position offers an annual salary of $43,500. The benefits package includes health insurance, dental insurance, STD/LTD/Life & AD&D, Work/Life Assistance Program (EAP), ability to contribute to pre-tax commuter and medical FSA plans, and 403(b) retirement plan with employer match after two years of employment.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain programming for Job Path's groups, including tracking attendance and submitting or delegating case notes for individuals without support.
  • Assess areas of interest among Job Path participants and organize regular ongoing gatherings based on those interests.
  • Provide clear information to coordinators and Direct Support Professionals regarding group meeting times and locations.
  • Arrange and complete support and training in the community for new and ongoing staff based on program needs.
  • Connect and complete outreach for community partnership and spaces to host groups, events, and volunteer opportunities for individuals in the Community Connections department.
  • Focus on DSP recruitment for Community Connections, including screening, interviews, and reference checks.
  • Coordinate schedules by tracking shift needs and being a central point of communication between program coordinators and new staff to effectively fulfill support needs.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area of education or human services, or high school diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 1 year of work experience serving people with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
