Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Engineer, PE, you will play a critical role in supporting capital projects and implementing solutions for our clients. Your expertise will help our clients improve their performance and achieve their most important goals. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Providing sustaining facilities electrical engineering support for our clients' site electrical distribution systems in the food & beverage, life science, and advanced technology sectors.
  • Reviewing and approving electrical designs for manufacturing power distribution systems.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and contractors on new construction and renovation projects.
  • Reviewing electrical design specifications and drawings.
  • Calculating power distributions for switchboards, panel boards, transformers, wire sizing, voltage drop, conduit fill, cable tray sizing and fill, and AICs.
  • Reviewing cost estimates and budgets.
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Maintaining current NEC code knowledge.
  • Reading and interpreting design drawings and specifications.
  • Leading project teams.
  • Making an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening our relationships with our clients and team.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in low and medium voltage power, easy power, load flow analysis, and working on electrical engineering drawings, in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical and process (MEP) engineers and technicians.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary large capital projects involving owners, general contractors, contractors, and system integrators.
  • A solid understanding of design/build (engineering and construction).
  • Familiarity with facilities document control systems.
  • Experience with electrical as-built drawings that are incorporated into master CAD drawings.
  • Experience reviewing and updating electrical system models.
  • Experience with project close out including reviewing construction specifications, as-builts, O&M manuals and submittals.
  • Proficiency with written and verbal technical communication, including generating reports and conducting group presentations.
  • A willingness to travel for project requirements including installation and start-up activities, client and company sponsored meetings, trainings, industry related seminars, forums, and conventions.
  • A bachelor of science in electrical engineering, or a degree emphasizing power distribution, or equivalent work experience in life science or advanced technology manufacturing.
  • A professional engineering (PE) license.
