  • Ensure excellent classroom management and discipline skills
  • Work professionally with all stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records as required by law and District policy

**Position Expectations**

  1. Demonstrate knowledge and ability to provide instruction in an elementary classroom
  2. Provide appropriate curriculum and instruction to identified GATE students
  3. Work cooperatively with students, parents, peers, administration, and community members
  4. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies aligned with instructional objectives
  5. Guide the learning process toward achievement of curriculum goals
  6. Establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects
  7. Plan, organize, and conduct staff development/training meetings
  8. Provide support to general education teachers
  9. Participate as an active member with other faculty and staff
  10. Maintain and improve professional competence
  11. Communicate effectively both written and orally

**Requirements**

  • Earned bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Teaching license issued by the Nevada Department of Education
