Internship Opportunity in Clinical Pharmacology

Bristol-Myers Squibb is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics, and Bioanalysis (CPPB) Department.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that involve reviewing literature, summarizing clinical pharmacology and clinical efficacy and safety information, conducting exploratory clinical data analyses, and collaborating with project teams.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting literature reviews and collaborating with the Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics Team to contribute to clinical pharmacology plans and address scientific and technical questions in drug development.
  • Executing part of the clinical pharmacology project plan under the guidance of an experienced clinical pharmacologist.
  • Coordinating with data scientists and biostatistics teams to develop analysis datasets and conduct exploratory analyses.
  • Presenting results of clinical pharmacology summaries, exploratory analyses, and contributing to data interpretation.
  • Collaborating with team members outside the CPP function when applicable.

Qualifications and experience include:

  • Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Pharmaceutical Sciences/Pharmacy, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, or Statistics.
  • Training in generating scientific hypotheses and methods of validating or rejecting them based on data, or willingness to develop such skills.
  • Knowledge in quantitative methods preferred or willingness to develop this skill set during the internship.
  • Hands-on experience or formal classes/workshops with modeling tools such as R, SAS, NONMEM, Monolix, Phoenix. NLME, or MATLAB preferred.
