Lifeguard II

Job Summary:

Rockdale County, Georgia is seeking a highly skilled Lifeguard II to join our team at the County pool. As a Lifeguard II, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patrons while they enjoy the pool facilities. This role requires excellent swimming skills, lifeguarding techniques, and the ability to respond promptly and calmly in emergency situations.

• Monitor the pool area to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of patrons.
• Instruct water safety and water fitness classes to promote a healthy and safe environment.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all patrons.
• Test water quality and record results to ensure the pool meets safety standards.

• 6 months of paid lifeguarding experience.
• Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, including CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and Water Fitness Instructor (WFI) certifications.

Work is typically performed in an outdoor or indoor pool facility. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies is essential.
