We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at UCHealth. This dynamic role will involve providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing solid organ transplants and thoracic surgeries.

Job Description

The RN Acute Care Transplant/Thoracic position involves direct patient care in high-acuity settings, prioritizing wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice. The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary approach to achieve exceptional outcomes and contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care.

Responsibilities
  • Provides top-of-scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
  • Values a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes
  • Prioritizes wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice
  • Models proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
  • BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date

The estimated salary for this role is $43,627.96 per year, based on a 36-hour workweek and the specified location in Aurora, CO.
