About the Role

Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic x-rays and other imaging procedures under the supervision of a radiology technologist.
  • Assist patients with questions and concerns about procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring accurate and efficient procedures.
  • Obtain and administer medications, radiopharmaceuticals, and contrast media as directed by licensed practitioners or authorized technologists.
  • Collaborate with physicians and technologists to perform diagnostic exams, including procedures requiring contrast media administration.
  • Retrieve patient orders and requisitions, supporting administrative tasks in the RIS, EMR, or other standard applications.
  • Provide ancillary clinical support, including assisting patients with restrooms, bedpans, and other needs.
  • Contribute to administrative duties, quality assurance, safety, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with coursework toward a certificate or degree in a medical imaging field.
  • Clinical experience in a medical imaging field, with medical clerical skills preferred.
