Job Overview

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival seeks a seasoned Theatrical Wig and Hair Supervisor to join our creative team. This dynamic individual will lead our wig and hair department, ensuring seamless execution of shows, maintaining high-quality standards, and fostering a culture of inclusion and respect.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership and Supervision: Oversee a team of wig and hair employees, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  2. Wig and Hair Management: Ensure wigs and facial hair are designed and maintained according to the costume designer's specifications during builds and runs.
  3. Safety and Quality Control: Collaborate with Costume Managers, Wardrobe Supervisor, and Stage Management to ensure safety policies and quality control measures are upheld.
  4. Inventory and Logistics: Coordinate wig and supply inventory, tool servicing, and arrange transportation between shops, rehearsals, and wardrobe spaces as needed.
  5. Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication with colleagues, staff, and artists to ensure a smooth production process.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or equivalent required.
  • Three years of professional theatrical wig run crew experience and leadership preferred.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Demonstrated initiative and tenacity in short-term and long-term planning.
Compensation and Benefits

$70,116.80 annually. Benefits include participation in OSF's comprehensive health insurance program, paid time off, and access to employee assistance programs.

Irregular work schedule including evenings and weekends, generally a 6-day week. Attend technical and dress rehearsals. Must be able to pass a background check.
