Job Title: Occupational Therapist PRN Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Ludington Hospital. This is a part-time position working variable days and weekends.

About the Role:

• As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with patients to help them recover from injuries or illnesses, providing therapy and education to promote independence and mobility.
• You will conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions to achieve patient goals.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities and functional limitations.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs and goals.
3. Provide ongoing therapy sessions, adapting techniques as needed to maximize patient progress.
4. Maintain accurate records of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program.
• Licensure and Certification: State of Michigan licensure as an Occupational Therapist; National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification as an OTR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross within 90 days.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission.

Compensation and Benefits:
