Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Wood Fabricator to join our team at WorkSmart Staffing. As a Wood Fabricator, you will be responsible for understanding detailed drawings, schematics, and blueprints to prepare and set up machines and tooling for woodwork manufacturing. You will also be operating woodworking machines, ensuring that products meet industry standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Understand detailed drawings, schematics, and blueprints to prepare and set up machines and tooling for woodwork manufacturing.
  • Operate woodworking machines, including saws, and milling and sanding machines.
  • Lift wood pieces onto machines, either by hand or with hoists.
  • Select and adjust the proper cutting, milling, boring, and sanding tools for completing a job.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements:
  • Woodworking experience of at least 6 months.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Good physical condition.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to read schematics, shop drawings, and blueprints.

Nice to Have:
  • High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education.
  • Prior experience with milling machinery.

Work Environment:
The Warehouse environment is constantly exposed to loud noise, dust, hot and cold temperatures. You must operate equipment safely and wear specific PPE such as ear plugs, safety glasses, etc. as deemed necessary.
