Compensation Manager Job Description

As a key member of the HR team, the Compensation Manager plays a critical role in developing and implementing compensation programs that align with the company's business strategies. This includes designing and administering executive compensation programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and communicating compensation policies and programs to employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement compensation programs that support business objectives
  • Design and administer executive compensation programs, including base pay, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including tax laws and securities regulations
  • Communicate compensation policies and programs to employees, including compensation philosophy, compensation structures, and recognition programs
  • Manage annual salary adjustments and merit increases, including evaluation of market pay for positions
  • Oversee the preparation of statistical and special reports from the HRIS system, including skills, paygrades, performance data, and other employee records
  • Serve as project manager for key compensation initiatives, including sales compensation governance and total reward programs
