mobileStorm Inc is seeking an experienced and seasoned Sales Engineer to support its Sales Team in driving business growth. With a strong focus on presales support, this role will be instrumental in providing expert product knowledge and technical expertise to win deals.

The primary objective of this position is to collaborate closely with the Sales Team to architect and deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customers' needs. This involves working with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Product, to design and implement tailored solutions that drive success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Present mobileStorm solutions to both management (C-level) and technical audiences, highlighting their value proposition and technical capabilities.
  • Demonstrate products to diverse groups, including developers, DBAs, IT administrators, and IT security personnel, showcasing their features and benefits.
  • Create detailed Statements of Work, respond to RFIs & RFPs, and engage with prospects to understand their environments and requirements.
  • Develop data flow diagrams and work with engineers to recommend the best solutions for each customer.
  • Mesasure success by tracking closed deals and implementations that occur as planned during the sales cycle.
  • Conduct customer meetings, both phone and on-site, to build relationships and provide technical expertise.
  • Employ excellent listening, solicitation, and writing skills to document architecture and solutions, and monitor engagement progress until deals are won.
  • Transition all technical knowledge and business requirements gained during the sales cycle to the Operations team.

Example of Duties:

  • Interact with various stakeholders, gather knowledge, and assist in winning deals.
  • Present product demos (including API, database, and system integration) to different audiences.
  • Act as a technical resource for Sales during the sales cycle, providing guidance and support.
  • Assist with RFI & RFPs, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Write user-focused solution documents, clearly communicating the value of mobileStorm's products.
  • Successfully manage presales engagements, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • Document and update Salesforce.com as required, maintaining accurate records.
  • Attend prospect, customer, or internal meetings, guided by management.
  • Travel as needed, representing mobileStorm at industry events and customer sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the company's continued success.

  • Resolve customer-specific issues, demonstrating technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Prototype new functionality within mobileStorm's products, staying ahead of market trends.
  • Integrate with emerging technologies, enhancing product offerings and competitiveness.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; MBA preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated aptitude in programming languages (Java a plus), scripting languages (Python a plus), and software engineering.
  • Experience in Unix/Linux and Windows environments, with competence in relational database design and development.
  • Solid understanding of web service development (REST, JSON, and XML).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Tolerance for potentially stressful situations, with a willingness to travel and represent mobileStorm.
  • Business acumen and ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Good technical skills, with the ability to install and demo complex enterprise software.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.

  • Previous experience in security solutions and database solutions, with a solid understanding of the SaaS model.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be around $120,000 - $150,000, depending on experience and location.
