Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Parkland Health and Hospital System. As a CT Scan Technologist, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform computerized tomography (CT) procedures on assigned patients, ensuring scanning needs are met and patient safety is prioritized.
  • Review physician orders and apply CT protocols, modifying as necessary to ensure optimal image quality.
  • Interview patients, conduct screenings, and obtain medical histories to ensure accurate procedure execution.
  • Administer contrast material, monitor patient reactions, and complete exam charges and image documentation in a timely manner.
  • Participate in departmental Performance Improvement Programs, promote Parkland Health's mission, and engage in equitable workload distribution.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology and/or Computed Tomography (CT) Program.
  • Prefer two (2) years of experience performing Radiology procedures.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R) and/or Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification from Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) or Texas Medical Board.
