Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our Physical Therapists to provide high-quality rehabilitation services to patients with mobility, function, strength, and positioning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients for rehabilitation services within 24 to 48 hours of physician's orders.
  • Develop effective treatment plans in collaboration with Physical Therapists.
  • Treat patients according to the treatment plan of care.
  • Supervise Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants in the delivery of clinical services.
  • Communicate with physicians, clinical managers, and other health team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
  • Participate in Plan of Care Meetings and Interdisciplinary Team Meetings.
  • Achieve or exceed minimum productivity standards.
  • Participate in in-service training programs for other staff.
  • Record treatment notes, progress notes, and complete daily billing of services.
  • Instruct patient's families and/or facility staff in maintenance programs.
  • Participate in discharge planning.
  • Recommend equipment to facilitate improved delivery of clinical services.
  • Act as a clinical supervisor for affiliating Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant programs.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Licensed in the state(s) where services are being provided as a Certified Physical Therapist Assistant.
