Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Care Specialist to join our team at Public Storage. As a Property Care Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of our properties, as well as performing light repairs and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage units, including sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
  • Conduct daily inspections of storage units to ensure they are ready for rental.
  • Perform light repairs and maintenance tasks, such as greasing oil springs and door tracks, replacing rubber gaskets, and pulling weeds.
  • Check property mailboxes and process mail.
  • Process bank deposits and petty cash.
  • Stock supplies, including soap, toilet tissue, and paper towels.
  • Report maintenance needs, safety concerns, and equipment issues to management.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and operability of golf carts.
  • Repair minor leaks in plumbing.
  • Perform customer lock cuts upon request.
  • Keep up the maintenance of rental trucks.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Successful candidates may have prior custodial and general maintenance/repair abilities or similar experience.
  • Self-starter attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Act with personal integrity and comply with policies.
  • Willingness to drive to and work in multiple locations, indoors, and outdoors in varying weather.
  • Flexible in scheduling, available based on business needs.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check and possess a clean driving record.
