Job DescriptionAs a School Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational success of students in the Rockwell, NC area. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting psychological assessments and evaluations for students to determine eligibility for special education services.
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Providing direct counseling services to students, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Consulting with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop strategies for improving student outcomes.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and make recommendations for services and interventions.
- Conducting crisis intervention and providing support during emergencies.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and state regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid North Carolina state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong assessment, counseling, and intervention skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to special education.
