The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to identify and develop new sales opportunities, provide product solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of the telecom industry's competitive landscape and the ability to develop and maintain accurate sales and revenue forecasts.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage relationships with acquired and/or existing customers to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, attain additional business, and retain existing revenue.
  • Identify, bid on, negotiate, and close new sales opportunities to meet and exceed established sales and revenue quotas.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Lumen's entire product suite and provide comprehensive account plans and strategies to win new business from new and/or existing accounts.
  • Provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnels of identified and proposed opportunities to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.
  • Provide input to sales management about trends and changes taking place within the customer's organization and make recommendations about future courses of action necessary for Lumen to improve its position with the customer.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of industry sales experience.
  • Minimum skills required to perform in this role.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with the telecom industry's competitive landscape.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills as well as proficiency in selling to the close.
  • Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum direction.
  • Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Requires at least 50% or more of time conducting sales activities outside of the office.
Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges
$143330 in these states: NC.

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
