About Pharmacy Services & Delivery

Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers.

Our team plays a crucial role in the prompt and accurate delivery and distribution of radiopharmaceuticals or oncology pharmaceuticals to medical care providers in accordance with customer demand and requirements of the assigned route. We prepare doses for shipment, prepare cases, wipe doses, and load and unload containers in keeping with the prescribed safety standards and Department of Transportation (DOT).

Job Responsibilities

  • We drive company-owned vehicles to make deliveries to customer accounts on our assigned routes.
  • We package radiopharmaceutical medication for shipment, perform testing, and load/unload containers.
  • We use handheld tablets to scan customer orders for accuracy, obtain route stop information, and navigation.
  • We process packages returned from customer locations.
  • We maintain vehicles in proper working condition and may perform minor roadside repairs.
  • We perform general facility cleaning and other duties as required.

Requirements

  • We require a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record are also necessary.
  • Prior delivery driving experience is a plus.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old due to the operation of a company-owned vehicle.
  • We need applicants who can lift containers weighing up to 70 pounds.
  • Candidates should be comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours.
  • Applicants should be able to sit, stand, be mobile, and operate a vehicle for extended periods.
  • We value strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work weekends/holidays/on-call is also necessary.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts or overtime as needed is important.
  • Proficiency in using computers and tablets is required.
