About the Role

The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Aquatic Facility Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service to members and guests at our outdoor aquatic facilities.

Job Summary

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing excellent customer service. As an Aquatic Facility Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all users of the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional communication to members and guests of the facility, ensuring they have a positive experience.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the facility, including picking up and putting away equipment and completing daily cleaning tasks.
  • Perform first aid when necessary and complete incident reports as required.
  • Enforce policies, rules, and regulations governing the conduct of individuals using the aquatic facility.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings and ongoing trainings to stay up-to-date on facility operations and best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
  • A minimum of 15 years of age.
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification (provided by the YMCA within 60 days of employment).
  • Related customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to actively look for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
