Job Overview

Rochester Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Support Associate to join our team.

About the Role

This full-time position offers a competitive salary of approximately $43,500 per year and a Monday-Friday work schedule with great benefits package. As a Medical Support Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by providing exceptional patient care and support services.

Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including providing transportation to the Holding Area.
  • Perform EKG's as needed and assist with patient care duties.
  • Accept laundry delivery, put away supplies, and maintain stock levels in the PACU and Recovery Lounge.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the facility, including cleaning beds between patients and remaking them as necessary.
  • Assist with discharge of patients from the facility and provide general support to medical professionals.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree not required, but high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  2. Prior healthcare experience preferred but not necessary.
  3. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and management.
  4. Excellent physical and mental health: walking, standing, lifting, moving equipment, and patients required.
  5. Cooperative and dependable individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
