Job Summary

Northeast Family Services is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Intake Coordinator to manage the registration and admissions process for our NY team.

The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of payer portals, co-pays, deductibles, and health insurance benefits, as well as excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming calls and gather referral information
  • Verify insurance coverage and schedule clients' appointments
  • Manage all aspects of the registration and admissions process

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in patient intake and scheduling
  • Bilingual in English / Spanish is required
  • Working knowledge of insurance benefits and authorizations
  • Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Health Records (EHR)
