Job Title: Geomatics Data Manager

Job Summary:

NV5 Geospatial is seeking a Geomatics Data Manager to support a national security customer by establishing processes to manage PostGIS and Oracle databases used to store geodetic and geophysical survey data.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage databases, refine attribution, perform queries, migrate data from legacy databases, and identify and mitigate inconsistencies in data entry.
  • Work with customer stakeholders to refine data and file formats to align to relevant data standards or develop new standards.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' of PostgreSQL (PostGIS) or Oracle database design experience, including relational model building.
  • Experience migrating data from legacy databases and other digital storage systems.
  • Experience in data quality analysis, preparation, cleansing, formatting, and transformation.
  • Knowledge of National System for Geospatial Intelligence (NSG) standards and associated organizations and registries.
  • Experience with Extensible Markup Language (XML), XML Schema Documents (XSD), Geography Markup Language (GML), and Extensible Stylesheet Language (XSL).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) field; or military equivalent.
  • Additional experience can be substituted for education.
  • Familiarity with NGA systems architecture, including unclassified cloud environments.
  • Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a Counter-Intelligence (CI) Polygraph.

  • Ability to apply GEOINT standards and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a variety of data exploitation techniques.
  • Comfortable working with a team to achieve project completion.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite.
