Physician Consultant

We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine hospitalist consultant to join our team at Providence St Luke's Rehabilitation Medical Center. This part-time role involves providing medicine consultation and support for a diverse patient population admitted for acute rehabilitation.
- This role requires approximately 20 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling options available.
- You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement an individualized plan of medical care as a consulting physician.
- As a key member of the team, you will provide expertise regarding management of complex medical comorbidities and acute medical conditions developing during rehabilitation.
- Your primary responsibility will be to ease transitions of care and ensure medical continuity between the acute hospitalist service and acute rehabilitation facility.
- Our ideal candidate will focus on delivering high standards of patient care, prioritizing quality and safety above all else.
- Accurate documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and anticipatory guidance in the electronic health record is essential.
- You will participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical protocols that drive excellence in care.
- Qualifications:
- A Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor (MD or DO) with a strong background in Internal Medicine.
- An active Washington medical license is required.
- Prior experience in a hospitalist or acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with working in an acute rehabilitation setting is also beneficial.
- A strong foundation in managing complex medical conditions and excellent communication skills are essential.
- Candidates should possess exceptional interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation Package
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $120,522 to $168,940. Compensation amounts may include productivity or quality/service incentives, call pay, extra shift incentives, as applicable.
