About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Workers Compensation Claims Team Lead to join our team in Syracuse, NY. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising multiple teams of examiners and technical staff, providing technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication, and monitoring third-party claims. You will also be responsible for maintaining contact with clients, promoting a professional client relationship, and making recommendations to clients as suggested by claim status.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise multiple teams of examiners and technical staff for workers compensation claims
  • Provide technical/jurisdictional direction to examiner reports on claims adjudication

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6 years of claims experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 2 years of claims supervisor experience required
  • Experience handling New York Workers Compensation and large-scale Public Entity accounts preferred
  • Strong knowledge of claims management processes and procedures for multiple product lines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
