Pediatric Med Surge Nurse Specialist Seasonal Opportunity

As a Pediatric Med Surge Registered Nurse PRN, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive nursing assessments and direct patient care. Our Peds Med Surg RNs are committed to excellence and strive to optimize outcomes while maximizing available resources.
Job Summary:
- Perform thorough nursing assessments and provide individualized care to patients.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to achieve optimal results.
- Supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the scope of practice and established policies.
- Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year recent experience as a Pediatric Med Surg Registered Nurse in an acute care hospital.
- Texas State RN license or compact license accepted.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Program Requirements:
- All seasonal RNs must work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
- Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility with emergent staffing needs.
- Four weekend shifts are required each 4-week schedule period.
- During the course of the 32-week period, two holiday shifts are required.
- Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospital.

Salary Information:
The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive compensation package, including bonuses and incentives based on performance.
