About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a critical role in ensuring efficient throughput and high-quality patient care in the unit/department during their designated shift. They collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
Responsibilities
- Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
- Participates in ongoing assessments of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
- Suggests recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assists with staff scheduling and managing all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
Requirements
- BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- STABLE certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse license required.
- Masters Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree.
- Neonate Resuscitate or Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Mother Baby RN experience required.

Compensation
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. This figure is based on national averages and may vary based on location, qualifications, and other factors.
