Emergency Medical Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Specialist to join our team at AMR in Monterey County, California.
About the RoleAs an EMS Specialist, you will provide high-quality emergency medical services, ensuring the safety of patients and staff while managing emergency situations. This role requires strong leadership skills, ability to work effectively in a team, and adherence to medical protocols and regulations.

Responsibilities- Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive EMS protocols.
- Utilize advanced medical equipment and procedures, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids, to provide top-notch medical care.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their loved ones to ensure they receive timely and accurate information.
- Act as a team leader and take responsibility for scene management and unit operations as needed.
- Operate ambulances on 911 responses.
- Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel, as well as fellow EMS Specialists.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active CA State Paramedic License.
- CA State Driver's License.
- CA Ambulance Driver's Certificate.
- Medical Examiners Certificate.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS OR PEPP, BTLS OR PHTLS certification.
- Driving record in compliance with company policy.
- Pass Physical Agility Test.
- Some experience in healthcare is preferred.
