Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Escrow Specialist to join our team at AlphaStaff Talent Search. As an Escrow Specialist, you will be responsible for performing daily escrow reconciliations, preparing and distributing monthly reports, and processing weekly funding disbursements. You will also handle customer refunds, complete bank deposits, and assist the Escrow Manager with additional tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily escrow reconciliations to ensure accuracy and alignment with regulatory and company standards.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process weekly funding disbursements, ensuring timely and precise execution.
  • Handle customer refunds and handle any related inquiries or discrepancies.
  • Complete bank deposits accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist the Escrow Manager with additional tasks as needed to support department goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal teams and external clients, maintaining high standards of professionalism and responsiveness.
  • Adhere to state regulations and internal policies regarding escrow procedures and fiduciary duties.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency and accuracy in all tasks.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in escrow, finance, or a related field (timeshare industry experience is a plus).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all financial transactions.
  • Proficiency in escrow software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Word).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with escrow laws and regulations.
  • Previous experience working with reconciliation, disbursements, and reporting in escrow or a similar field.
