About the Role

FEFA LLC is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Support Specialist based in Richland, WA.

Job Summary

This role focuses on providing expert oversight and support for safety and non-safety software quality assurance (SQA) activities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SQA program implementation, in-depth technical expertise, and outstanding communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight support for external and internal auditing of safety and non-safety software efforts, serving as a qualified auditor in independent audits or surveillances.
  • Assist in managing and overseeing projects in compliance with applicable regulations and the Quality Assurance Program Description for software-related activities.
  • Support Federal Project Directors by providing quality oversight, addressing performance issues, and verifying milestone completion for software activities.
  • Conduct reviews of contractor actions to address recommendations for software issues from relevant oversight bodies.
  • Perform effectiveness reviews of contractor actions and recommendations to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Review and comment on new and revised Quality Assurance Division (QAD) procedures and oversight reports to ensure technical quality.
  • Evaluate causal analyses and corrective actions for software-related conditions adverse to quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, technology, or business management.
  • A minimum of 9 years of directly applicable experience as a management consultant, senior manager, or senior technical/business professional addressing significant issues in government or industry.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience implementing and overseeing software quality assurance programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Safety Quality Assurance (SQA) requirements for safety and non-safety software engineering processes.
  • Familiarity with software quality assurance orders, guidance, consensus standards, and industry practices.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under government agency procedures.
Compensation Package

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a competitive compensation package including medical benefits, PTO, holiday pay and more.
