Salary
The estimated salary for this role is $33.00 - $33.99 per hour, depending on experience. As a Critical Care RN at Albany Medical Center, you will have the opportunity to gain additional competencies and advance your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Critical Care RN to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing physician orders and administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments and procedures
- Orders, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions
- Assessing and evaluating patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered
- Applying sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
- Providing primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
- Administering over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree in nursing from an accredited academic program
- A valid New York State Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- A minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills
