Job Description

At One More Child, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Associate Director of Development. This position is responsible for the strategic direction and management of key donors and fundraising initiatives essential to developing, expanding, and stewarding annual fund support for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that annual fund development activities and philanthropic support are based on the organization's strategic goals, objectives, and plans.
  • Responsible for planning and executing the annual fund program and strategies designed to ensure fulfillment of funding goals.
  • Cultivate relationships with annual fund donors and prospects.
  • Conduct research for individuals as needed.
  • Develop an atmosphere conducive to annual giving that supports the funding priorities of the organization.
  • Build and maintain a portfolio of annual fund level donors.
  • Coordinate prospect assignment/clearance through moves management meetings.
  • Assist with the strategic planning and preparation of funding proposals, fundraising materials, and other presentations.
  • Articulate the funding priorities in written materials, in meetings with individuals, and during speaking engagements before larger audiences.
  • Seek and identify new prospects capable of contributing gifts and pledges at annual fund giving levels.
  • Work with Communications on social and digital media opportunities for the development program.
  • Develop donor communication tools for cultivation, recognition, stewardship, and solicitation.

Requirements:

  • Three years' work experience.
  • Experience in public speaking, program presentations, and relationship management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful fundraising track record or willingness to complete training in the field of fundraising.
  • Bachelor's degree completed or in progress.

Spiritual Qualifications:

  • Have had a personal conversion experience with Jesus Christ and been scripturally baptized.
  • Possess a sense of commitment to ministry through vocation.
  • Hold a sincere desire to seek God and His kingdom.
  • Demonstrate personal and devotional habits and practices such as Bible study, prayer, and daily meditation.
  • Be a member of a New Testament, evangelical church in the local community and attend regularly.
  • Engage in witness activities as a normal part of life.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or listen. The employee uses hands requiring feeling and sensory. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

This job requires the ability to work in a tight deadline stress ability and remain focused for extended periods of time. Occasionally may need to lift up to 30 pounds (boxes, documents, and/or equipment).
