Evidence Inventory Control and Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Evidence Inventory Control and Management Specialist to join our team at Vets Hired. This role is responsible for providing evidence inventory services, including receiving, processing, and maintaining the chain-of-custody of all evidence and forensic materials entering our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process boxes of casework and related materials
  • Open and inventory contents of boxes
  • Create laboratory worksheets and master chain-of-custody documents
  • Enter data into tracking software systems
  • Stage boxes and documentation for processing by unit-specific teams
  • Prepare boxes for return to contributors
  • Load and unload boxes of evidence and forensic materials

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in science disciplines or criminal justice
  • At least one year of evidence inventory experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Course work in forensics

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
