Lead Palliative Care Specialist

The University of Rochester Medical Center is a leading academic medical center seeking an accomplished leader to oversee the growth and expansion of its Division of Palliative Care.
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled professional with leadership experience and a commitment to faculty, staff, resident, and fellow education and mentorship. The ideal candidate will have a track record of programmatic growth, management, and oversight in palliative care.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will lead the Division of Palliative Care, overseeing all programs within the division at the University of Rochester Medical Center and affiliated hospital sites. They will participate in direct patient care, play a key role in recruiting and mentoring faculty and advanced practice practitioners, and advance the clinical, research, and education missions of the URMC Department of Medicine.

Benefits
The University of Rochester Faculty Physicians offers a competitive salary range of $250,000 - $350,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
Requirements
- MD or equivalent degree
- NYS Medical licensure before start date
- Eligible for a Faculty Appointment at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
- Board Certified in Palliative Care
- Post offer Drug Screen and Health Assessment required
- Criminal background check required
- Compliance with University and New York State health requirements
