Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Control Specialist to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our Manufacturing Solutions group, you will be responsible for managing and forecasting procurement deliveries, hurdles, and material receipt for engineering electrical and mechanical hardware builds and capital purchases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve procurement issues and maintain contact with the supply base to ensure quality, cost, and schedule requirements are met.
  • Participate in the procurement, management, and disposition of material required for engineering development.
  • Organize, prioritize, and schedule tasks associated with hardware procurement in conjunction with the Integrated Product Team lead (IPTL), Engineering Authority (REA's), and internal or external manufacturing facilities.
  • Keep others within Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Property and Program Management informed of progress.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior experience.
  • Experience with material procurement and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related degree highly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize activities, and maintaining ongoing status with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with material planning, scheduling, and/or forecasting.
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning System (MRP).
  • Experience with Contractor Acquired Material (CAM) policies and requirements.
  • Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) requirements.
  • Written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with and take direction from Functional Management and IPT's from multiple programs.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including MS Project.
