Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Transportation Associate to join our team at The Salvation Army USA Western Territory. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive DOT-regulated vehicles to transport goods and materials to and from our facilities.
  • Plan daily routes to optimize delivery times and minimize delays.
  • Ensure the security and safe handling of all donated goods and materials.
  • Perform daily truck inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues.
  • Act as a representative of The Salvation Army and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements
  • Valid California Class C Driver License.
  • Ability to pass a road test and meet State of California Department of Motor Vehicles licensing requirements.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. The ability to grasp, push, pull objects, and lift up to 100 pounds is also required.
