My Possibilities is a pioneering organization dedicated to empowering adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) to lead fulfilling lives.

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Therapist - IDD Specialist to join our team in Plano, TX. This rewarding role involves developing and implementing Behavior Intervention Plans to promote positive behavior and support the success of individuals with IDD.

Job Summary:

  • To develop and implement comprehensive Behavior Intervention Plans that address the unique needs of each individual
  • To work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, including therapists, instructors, and HIPster Family Services, to ensure seamless delivery of services
  • To provide training and guidance to staff members on behavior-focused interventions and strategies
  • To maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders

Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and Implementing Behavior Intervention Plans:
  • Analyze data and observations to identify target behaviors and develop effective intervention strategies
  • Create Behavior Intervention Plans that align with researched-based practices and promote desired outcomes
Collaboration and Training:
  • Work closely with the therapy team to integrate behavior-focused interventions into daily routines
  • Provide training and guidance to staff members on behavior-related topics, such as crisis intervention and data-driven decision making
Record-Keeping and Communication:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client progress and treatment plans
  • Ensure timely communication with stakeholders, including HIPster family members and caregivers

Requirements:

  • A Master's Degree in Education, Behavior Analysis, or a related field
  • BCBA certification and licensure in the state of Texas
  • At least one year of experience completing comprehensive functional assessments and behavior support plans
  • Experience working with individuals with special needs and diverse cultural backgrounds

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The salary for this position is estimated to be around $62,000 - $67,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location

Working Conditions:

  • This role will require sitting and working on a computer, with occasional standing, walking, running, lifting, and crouching to handle behavior situations
