Job Summary:

As a skilled MDS Coordinator at Odelia Healthcare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate completion of the RAI process and care management process. Working closely with the Interdisciplinary Team, you will assess the needs of residents and provide interdisciplinary schedules for MDS assessments and care plan reviews. Your expertise in Case-Mix, Federal Medicare PPS process, and Medicaid reimbursement will be essential in ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to assess resident needs and provide interdisciplinary schedules for MDS assessments and care plan reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations regarding completion and coordination of the RAI process.
  • Monitor MDS and care plan documentation for all residents and ensure documentation is present in the medical record to support MDS coding.
  • Maintain current MDS status of assigned residents according to state and federal guidelines.
  • Complete accurate coding of the MDS with information obtained via medical record review, observation, and interview with facility staff, residents, and family members.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Vocational program and licensed in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Case-Mix, Federal Medicare PPS process, and Medicaid reimbursement.
  • Thorough understanding of the Quality Indicator process and the care planning process.
