About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Operations Director to join our team at Conagra Brands. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our sanitation and plant production departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the management of several production managers to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
  • Collaborate with the plant leadership team to provide direction to the production team.
  • Implement our plant-specific mission to assure continuous improvement and align with the corporate vision.
  • Ensure all quality and regulatory standards, specifications, and policies are met.
  • Promote employee engagement and development to maximize safety, manufacturing, quality, and productivity goals.
  • Collaborate directly with production planning and materials management to increase scheduled completion and customer service.
  • Temporarily fill the role of Plant Manager as needed.
  • Communicate directly with Human Resources to ensure employee issues or concerns are correctly addressed and resolved.
  • Collaborate with finance to create a capital budget to ensure that financial allocations and obligations are set, administered, and met.
  • Initiate cost savings measures relating to crewing, standards, and yields.
  • Be an important member of our labor management committee addressing union concerns.
Requirements
  • 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 24/7 accountability.
  • 5 years of management experience.
  • Experience in a unionized food manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, industrial management, engineering, food science, management, product operations, or equivalent field of study.
