About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Analyst to join our team in New Jersey. As a key member of our Rates and Regulatory Affairs group, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our New Jersey distribution utilities receive adequate and timely recovery of their costs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support efforts to ensure timely recovery of costs
  • Develop and manage regulatory proceedings, including testimony, discovery, and tariff filings
  • Apply analytical skills to understand ratemaking concepts, including revenue requirements, cost allocation, and rate of return
  • Strengthen relationships between FirstEnergy's New Jersey utility companies and the Public Utilities Commission of New Jersey
  • Develop strategies on regulatory and engineering matters, such as grid modernization and emerging technologies
  • Support regional customer service and engineering organizations on tariff implementation and enforcement
  • Conduct business-specific research, analyze data, and make recommendations
  • Meet the needs of internal and external customers through sound service and responsiveness
  • Provide analytical support to mid to executive level management
  • Exercise sound decision making and develop alternatives and recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, engineering, math, or related discipline
  • Minimum 4-7 years relevant work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data querying tools
  • Ability to travel for business and work in a team environment
