Job Description and Duties

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Governmental Program Analyst to join our team at the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services. As a key member of our Wellness & Disability Unit, you will play a critical role in conducting research, interpreting and applying applicable laws, rules, regulations and procedures, managing claim requests, developing and administering training, and analyzing and solving difficult technical health, medical and safety personnel matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analyze data to inform policy decisions and program development
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Manage claim requests and provide support to employees with disabilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement reasonable accommodations
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to employees and managers on disability-related matters

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. public administration, business, health education)
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field (e.g. program analysis, disability services, human resources)
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Working Conditions:

This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, which includes up to two days of remote work per week. Additional in-office days may be required based on business needs.
