Job Description:

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing education on substance abuse, promoting harm reduction and abstinence, and working towards recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive substance abuse assessments considering the relationship between substance use and mental health.
  • Assess and track beneficiaries' stages of change readiness and stages of treatment.
  • Use outreach and motivational interviewing techniques to work with beneficiaries in earlier stages of change readiness.
  • Facilitate access to 12-step groups and other community supports.
  • Ensure that fellow service providers' treatment approaches are consistent with the beneficiary's stages of change readiness.
  • Participate in a first responder on-call system available to consumers and/or their natural support network on a 24/7/365 basis; coordinate
