Product Development Manager

At Jobot, we're seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation and improve efficiency within our product line.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the entire product development process, ensuring all products meet our high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Apply Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and optimize performance.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new products or improvements to existing products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production, to ensure products meet customer needs and align with our business objectives.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and AAFCO Guidelines to ensure our products remain competitive.
  • Develop and manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in areas of feed plant, food manufacturing, and animal nutrition.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Animal Nutrition, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development within pet food manufacturing.
  • Able to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days a week onsite.
  • Proven experience in food manufacturing and a understanding of AAFCO Guidelines.
  • Strong knowledge of animal nutrition.
  • Proven track record in new product development, from conception to launch.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

We offer a competitive salary range of $115,000 - $130,000 per year, plus a 10% bonus, hybrid scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401K plan with match.
